Qualifications

• Basic office and keyboarding skills with 40 wpm minimum.
• Strong communication, customer service and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Register patients accurately with demographics, physician and insurance data.
• Collect co-pays and deductibles; verify insurance and eligibility.
• Obtain required signatures and maintain proper documentation.
• Use scheduling and billing systems to pre-register and input data.
• Explain pre-certification needs and coordinate with insurers as needed.
• Balance cash drawer and process payments; provide patient-friendly service.
• Refer complex cases to Financial Counselors for payment arrangements.
