Job summary

AdventHealth is seeking a patient access representative to support staffing, registration, and patient flow in the Heart Center. You will greet visitors, coordinate tests and procedures, and relay information to physicians, patients, and staff while maintaining confidentiality.

This PRN/day shift role emphasizes customer service and accuracy. The ideal candidate has strong English communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a busy hospital

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent.
3+ years in customer service and/or patient access in a hospital setting preferred.
Proficient in English; strong communication and accuracy in documentation.

Responsibilities

Registers patient types and resolves patient concerns with privacy and HIPAA compliance.
Coordinate scheduling of tests and procedures; act as patient advocate and greet visitors.
Maintain welcoming environment in Heart Center waiting areas and assist staff with flow.
Communicate clearly with physicians, patients, visitors and staff; ensure proper signatures for treatments.
Work with nursing and ancillary teams to uphold department standards and teamwork.
Perform duties related to registration software and general administrative tasks.
