Job summary

US Heart and Vascular in Garland, TX is seeking a full-time Medical Front Office Specialist to join HeartPlace on a day shift.

The role requires at least 1 year of medical front desk and customer service experience, plus 6 months of EMR experience (ECW or Athena preferred) and 6 months of prior authorization experience. You will register patients, collect co-pays, verify demographics, and support scheduling and front-desk duties with accuracy and professionalism.

Qualifications

• 1 year of medical front desk and customer service experience.
• 6 months of EMR experience; ECW or Athena preferred.
• 6 months of prior authorization experience.

Responsibilities

• Check-in patients and enter data into the system.
• Update patient demographics and information.
• Collect co-pays and balances at arrival.
• Answer clinic phone calls and route messages.
• Notify clinical teams of patient arrivals.
• Obtain pre-certifications before arrival.
• Prepare charts for next-day patients.
• Support checkout, explain charges and collect payments.
• Assist scheduling of appointments.
• Move between locations as needed.
