Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience.
• General knowledge of office procedures and operations.
• Skill in data entry with minimal errors.
• Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form.
• Skill in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail.
• Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion.

Responsibilities

• Performs full registration and verifies insurance and patient information.
• Obtains copies of insurance cards, driver’s license, and referrals.
• Explains Consent for Treatment, Financial Liability, and HIPAA and obtains signatures.
• Schedules follow-ups, cancels and edits appointments, and records no-shows.
• Reconciles vouchers and delivers them to the appropriate area.
• Answers calls and assists or transfers inquiries as needed.
• Maintains adherence to policies and safeguards University assets.
• Works with multiple EPIC and scheduling systems to manage patient flow.
