Job summary

Southern New Hampshire Health is seeking a front desk representative to support clerical and patient intake for the Vascular department. You will greet patients, register them, and handle scheduling and payments with a focus on accuracy and customer service.

The role involves managing calls, updating demographics and insurance information, and coordinating referrals and authorizations to ensure smooth patient flow and timely care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–3 years of experience in a health care setting performing clerical, billing, or insurance processing tasks.

Responsibilities

• Greets and checks in all scheduled patients according to the Health System check in process.
• Collects copayment.
• Confirms and updates all demographic and insurance information if patient is not pre-registered.
• Interacts with patients regarding complaints for effective and immediate response and resolution.
• Receives incoming telephone calls and directs requests as appropriate.
• Processes referrals and ensures a referral is attached to all scheduled visits.
• Obtains pre-authorization for services that require pre authorization.
• Works No Show, reschedule, and recall reports per policy.
• Balances daily payments.
• Maintains providers’ schedules, optimizing appointment timing.
