Job summary

Mountain View Hospital is seeking a Receptionist to join our team in Idaho. You will register patients for outpatient testing, collect and verify patient information, and ensure accurate admission data in the computer system.

You will handle patient payments, maintain records, and uphold Urgent Care policies while maintaining confidentiality and a professional demeanor in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Education/Certification: High School Diploma or higher. Current BLS Certification.
• Experience: One to three month’s related experience and/or training; equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Equipment/Technology: Ability to use hospital information system, and operate basic computer functions and software.

Responsibilities

• Register patients for outpatient testing and procedures, obtain or verify personal information including emergency numbers and insurance information.
• Obtain signatures on MSE and Condition of Admission forms.
• Communicate clearly with supervisors, nurses, coworkers, and physicians.
• Receive patient payments or co-payments and post transactions; manage till drawer.
• Maintain department records, reports, and files as required.
• Be familiar with Urgent Care policies and services available.
• Maintain confidentiality of patients’ records and exhibit professional attitude.
