Job summary

Hanger Inc in Overland Park, KS is seeking a friendly receptionist to ensure a seamless patient experience. You will greet visitors, verify demographics, collect copays, and coordinate follow-up appointments with care teams.

The ideal candidate has strong communication, basic accounting familiarity, and proficiency with Windows-based software. Prior front desk or medical office experience is preferred; a valid driver's license may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Talent Sorter assessment may be used in selection.
• Less than one year of customer service or related experience required.
• Experience in a receptionist role or medical front office preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and driving record must meet company policy.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors upon arrival and provide information.
• Verify and update patient demographics and insurance details at check-in.
• Collect patient payments (deductibles, copays, coinsurance) at the front desk.
• Schedule and coordinate follow-up appointments, casts, measures, and prosthetic care plans.
• Serve as liaison for clinic services and patient experience programs.
• Collaborate with Revenue Cycle Management to obtain necessary patient information.
• Maintain accurate electronic health records for all patients.
