Allegheny Health Network is seeking a Patient Access Associate to handle scheduling, preregistration, and initial financial clearance. The role involves verifying patient demographics and insurance benefits, communicating with physicians, and ensuring accurate bill submission.

You will collect estimates, support patient understanding of financial responsibilities, and collaborate with care teams to promote smooth patient journeys.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Two years of related experience preferred.
• Experience operating a PC and using software applications is expected.
• Healthcare/financial services background is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Performs scheduling, preregistration, and basic financial clearance tasks.
• Verifies insurance information and identifies authorization or referral needs.
• Calculates patient financial responsibilities and conducts post-visit financial activities.
• Delivers a positive patient experience and maintains professional relationships with patients and external partners.
• Keeps productivity and process improvements in focus and shares barriers with the team lead.
• Follows AHN policies and completes mandatory trainings.
• Communicates workflow issues and supports teammates as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
