Advocate Health is seeking a Patient Access Specialist in Georgia to greet patients, manage patient flow, and ensure efficient service in a busy clinic. You will verify demographics and insurance, register walk-ins, collect out-of-pocket amounts, apply financial clearance when needed, and refer to Financial Counselors while maintaining strong communication with patients and staff.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Patient access (scheduling, registration) and financial clearance experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Medicare, HIPAA, and EMTALA rules.
• Ability to communicate clearly with patients and staff.
• Proficient in Outlook, Word and Excel; familiar with ADT software.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision in a high stress environment.

Responsabilidades

• Greet patients and manage patient flow.
• Verify patient demographics and insurance information.
• Register walk-in patients and update demographics as needed.
• Collect out-of-pocket liabilities and balances.
• Apply Financial Clearance policy when required.
• Refer patients to Financial Counselor for assistance.
• Close visits and schedule follow-ups.
• Maintain knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and payer requirements.
• Escalate customer service issues to management.
• Maintain productivity and 98% accuracy.
• Maintain professional relations with patients and staff; ensure timely information flow.
