Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1+ year hospital setting experience.
• Ability to work rotating schedules.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Customer service oriented.
• Basic medical terminology knowledge.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite.
• Ability to work weekends and some holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform inpatient and outpatient patient access functions.
• Conduct quality patient interviews to verify identity and demographics.
• Screen Medicare/Medicaid and managed care patients for network status and benefits.
• Obtain patient consents/attestations.
• Handle scheduling, bed planning, pre-registration, registration, insurance verification, pre-certification, and POS cash collection.
