Job summary

Hamilton Health Center Inc. is seeking a Patient Access Representative to welcome patients, explain copayments, and navigate them through check-in and MyChart registration.

You will collect payments, verify demographics and insurance, and schedule follow-up appointments while guiding families through the care continuum with a focus on service excellence. Qualifications

• Completion of high school graduate or equivalent is required.
• Experience with PC-based applications and typing skills are preferred.
• Two years of experience in medical, billing, fiscal, or customer service function is preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.
• Prior experience with Intergy, Epic, or other health records systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide a warm greeting for all patients.
• Guide patients through self-check-in kiosk technology or desk check-in.
• Collect copayments and any other applicable payments at the point of service.
• Verify and/or update patient registration and insurance details.
• Schedule follow-up appointments and connect patients to ancillary services.
• Promote MyChart registration and assist patients in using the portal.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA rules and regulations.
• Support administrative duties including scanning of documents.
