Job summary

AdaptHealth in the United States is seeking an Intake Specialist to support patient access by coordinating referrals, reviewing clinical documentation, and ensuring services are set up accurately and efficiently.

You’ll work with patients, providers, referral sources, and internal teams to navigate insurance requirements, confirm eligibility, and move the intake process forward in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• One year of relatable work experience.
• High School Diploma or Associate degree in a related field.
• Experience in healthcare administration, insurance, billing, claims, or customer service is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review medical records and payer guidelines to determine eligibility and compliance.
• Communicate with patients about financial responsibility and collect payments when applicable.
• Coordinate with referral sources, physicians, and clinical teams to obtain complete documentation.
• Accurately enter referrals within established timeframes and maintain timely documentation.
