Job summary

Northeast Regional Medical Center is seeking a Director of Patient Access to provide strategic leadership over registration, insurance verification, financial counseling, scheduling, and front-end revenue cycle functions across locations. You will drive process improvements, compliance, and collaboration with medical staff and administration.

The role requires strong leadership, staffing, and financial oversight capabilities, committed to improving throughput and patient experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required or 7+ years of direct experience in lieu of a degree.
• Master's degree preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience in a closely related field with a Bachelor's degree required.
• 3-5 years of leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor patient access professionals across locations.
• Develop staffing models and retention initiatives.
• Oversee registration, insurance verification, scheduling, and financial counseling.
• Enforce standardized policies to improve efficiency and financial outcomes.
• Monitor workflows and KPIs; ensure timely registrations and verifications.
• Collaborate with SSC and facility CFO on revenue cycle best practices.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and participate in audits as needed.
• Work with hospital departments to improve patient throughput.
• Develop and implement staff training on policies and workflows.
• Maintain attendance and adhere to all policies.
