Job summary

Physicians Care is seeking an experienced Medical Receptionist to join our Chattanooga, TN team. The role includes greeting patients, activating patient files, and supporting both patients and medical staff.

Responsibilities include answering phones, assisting with registration, processing payments, and maintaining a clean, safe office environment. A high school diploma and familiarity with EMR systems are required, with prior medical-office experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of basic computer software and the ability to learn electronic medical records.
• Prior experience in a medical office setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and assist with registration.
• Answer multi-line phones, file, fax, scan documents and complete daily patient callbacks.
• Check in and discharge patients and assist clinical staff.
• Collect insurance information, verify demographics, process payments and post balances.
• Maintain a neat, professional workspace and appearance.
• Adhere to health and safety procedures.
