Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum: High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related training/experience.
• Two years of related experience preferred in medical, financial services, or demanding customer service environments.
• Experience operating a PC and using software applications.

Responsibilities

• Schedules and preregisters patients; validates demographic data and benefits.
• Verifies insurance information and authorization/referral requirements with payors.
• Calculates estimates of patient financial responsibilities and posts transactions.
• Delivers positive patient experience and maintains relationships with patients and staff.
• Maintains productivity standards and supports team members with training and issue resolution.
• Follows policies, completes mandatory trainings, and performs other duties as assigned.
