Job summary

Prime Health Services (PHS) is seeking a Patient Access Coordinator to be the primary contact for patients navigating Workers’ Compensation care within the California Medical Provider Network. You will locate providers, schedule visits, and manage communications to ensure timely access to care.

The role requires strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with two years of healthcare customer service, or an Associate’s degree with one year of healthcare customer service.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Working knowledge of medical terminology (preferred).
• Bilingual in Spanish (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Locate and confirm participating MPN providers who accept Workers’ Compensation patients.
• Schedule physician appointments and confirm details with the requester.
• Respond to calls, faxes, and messages within 24 hours; document and resolve referrals within 72 hours.
• Coordinate communications with the Director of Customer Relations throughout the patient access process.
