Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum 6 months experience in customer service or healthcare environment.
• Preferred: Associate's degree and 1+ year in a Patient Revenue role at OSUWMC.
• Experience with Windows, Excel, and intranet navigation; knowledge of medical terminology, coding, and third-party reimbursement.
• Ability to work across multiple systems for tasks, management, and reporting.
• Strong problem-solving and presentation skills; high level of customer service.

Responsibilities

• Interviews patients and maintains records; supports patient access and throughput.
• Verifies patient identity and gathers registration, financial, and consent information.
• Schedules, reschedules, and coordinates appointments across departments.
• Checks insurance eligibility and determines patient liability; communicates insurance changes.
• Operates and troubleshoots scheduling and registration systems; ensures accuracy of data.
• Provides cross-coverage support and guides patients to appropriate service locations.
