Phelps Health in Missouri is seeking a Patient Services Representative to serve as the first point of contact for patients, handling registration, scheduling, insurance verification, and portal assistance. You will deliver friendly, accurate service while guiding patients through the early steps of their care experience.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, six months of office or call center experience, basic data entry skills, and a Basic Life Support certification.

Competenze

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Six months of office and/or call center, customer service or healthcare experience preferred.
• Basic data entry skills.
• Graduate of an accredited medical receptionist program or similar (preferred).

Mansioni

• Greet patients and create a welcoming, efficient front-desk environment.
• Collect demographic and insurance information and enter it into the system.
• Verify insurance coverage and obtain pre-authorizations or referrals as needed.
• Explain benefits, collect payments (co-pays, deductibles, balances) per policy.
• Assist patients with the online portal and maintain HIPAA compliance.
