Augusta Health is seeking a Patient Access Specialist to register patients in our health information system, verify insurance, and collect upfront payments. The role emphasizes accurate data capture, customer service, and coordination with clinical and administrative teams.

The position is PRN with a focus on delivering compassionate and efficient access to care within our Virginia facility. A strong emphasis on compliance, confidentiality, and patient-centered service is essential.

Formación

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of patient/customer-facing experience required.
• Eligible to work in the United States and Virginia state employment requirements.
• Preferred: CHAA certification with NAHAM.

Responsabilidades

• Register patients into the health information system by interviewing patients to gather demographic, insurance, and visit information.
• Identify patient source of payment, verify eligibility and benefits, and collect upfront payment.
• Communicate financial liability to patients and coordinate with Financial Advocate as needed.
• Enter all registration data into the health information system and support through patient flow.
• Support physician orders entry and ensure appropriate authorization and compliance.
