Piedmont Healthcare Corporate in Augusta, GA is seeking a patient access specialist to support the Patient Access Department. You will help ensure complete patient accounts with valid insurance and current demographics, calculate financial responsibility, present options, and process payments.

The role requires a HS diploma or GED, 1 year in healthcare revenue cycle or related clerical roles; experience with Epic is a plus. Prior revenue cycle experience preferred; healthcare knowledge a must.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required
• 1 year exp in one of the following: Required
• Healthcare Revenue Cycle Required or
• Clinical role Required or
• Related clerical accounting/finance/retail/customer service Required
• 3 years of healthcare Revenue Cycle experience Preferred
• Prior Epic experience Preferred

Responsabilités

• Serves as patient facing support for the Patient Access Department within Piedmont Healthcare. Ensures patient accounts are complete with valid insurance coverage and current demographic/clinical data. Calculates patient financial responsibility, presents patient financial options/requirements and processes patient payments. Secures patient consent and acknowledgement on required forms/notices.
