Job summary

Singing River Health System is seeking a Patient Access Services Pre-Arrival Specialist in Pascagoula. This role uses scheduling software and a departmental phone system to book outpatient procedures, perform pre-certifications, collect payments, and handle pre-registration tasks for patients.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent, with CHAA/CRCR preferred and de-escalation training within 90 days.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred.
• Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) or Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) preferred; must have de-escalation training by orientation (90 days).
• Experience in a hospital or physician office setting performing registration, scheduling, insurance verification, and/or customer service preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule outpatient procedures using scheduling software and phone system.
• Perform pre-certification and authorization as needed; complete benefit collection and pre-registration functions.
• Communicate pre-procedure preparations to patients and physicians’ offices; coordinate with nursing/staff for scheduling conflicts.
