Singing River Health System is seeking a Registration Specialist for the Ocean Springs Hospital location. You will be the first point of contact, collecting demographic, financial, and insurance information to support billing and patient experience.

Position requires high school diploma, experience in registration/scheduling, and preferred CHAA/CRCR with de-escalation training by orientation. Regular hours with some weekend coverage and a focus on accuracy and patient privacy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred.
• Certified CHAA or CRCR preferred; de-escalation training by orientation
• Experience in hospital or physician office registration, scheduling, insurance verification, or customer service preferred.

Responsabilités

• Interview patients to obtain complete demographic, financial, and insurance information for billing and collection purposes.
• Screen for insurance pre-certification requirements.
• Identify patient correctly, manage privacy practices, and record patient privacy wishes accurately.
• Contribute to Revenue Cycle by maintaining accuracy in registrations and completing assigned tasks.
