Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred.
• Certifications in de-escalation are required or should be completed by orientation.
• Experience in hospital or physician office registration/scheduling, insurance verification, and customer service is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients or their representatives to obtain demographics, financial, and insurance information for billing and accounts.
• Screen for insurance pre-certification requirements and ensure accuracy to minimize risk and liability.
• Record patient rights, privacy practices, and maintain accurate records; meet registration accuracy standards.
