Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong customer service and communication skills required.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with accuracy.
• Basic knowledge of Windows and Office applications.
• Previous experience in customer service or healthcare setting.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA standards.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients, visitors, and vendors in a professional manner.
• Serve as primary contact for general inquiries and wayfinding.
• Answer phone calls, route messages, and provide basic information.
• Schedule patient appointments and facilitate accurate registration at visits.
• Record and update demographics and insurance information; obtain consent forms.
• Educate patients on plan eligibility and collect necessary information.
• Verify insurance and collect copays; assist with billing notices and collections.
• Support revenue cycle tasks and direct patients to financial counseling as needed.
• Assist with mail, faxes, and internal communications; coordinate with interpreters as needed.
• Work at Spectra Health clinics in Grand Forks and Larimore, ND.
