Job summary

Sanford Health is seeking a Patient Access Representative in the United States. You will be the first point of contact, delivering exceptional service to patients both in person and on the phone, and creating a welcoming, efficient experience during registration and scheduling.

You will greet patients, verify demographics, collect payments, and coordinate with the nursing team to schedule appointments. A high school diploma is preferred, with healthcare experience and strong customer service

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year of work experience, preferably in a medical office setting.
• Medical terminology helpful; customer service skills essential.
• Six months' customer service experience desired.
• BLS may be required for certain locations/settings.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and verify demographics.
• Create, scan & route documents or electronic forms.
• Inform patients about documents and capture signatures.
• Establish financial responsibility and assist with arrangements.
• Collect co-payments, pre-payments, and payments on account balances.
• May address registration errors or denied insurance claims.
