Community Health and Wellness of Greater Torrington, Inc. is seeking a full-time Patient Access Representative (PAR) for our Torrington office, with occasional coverage at Winsted and Canaan locations.

The PAR will greet patients, verify demographic and insurance information, schedule appointments and maintain accurate records in the EHR. The role emphasizes excellent customer service, multi-tasking, and professional communication.

Qualifications

• Experience as a medical receptionist with multi-line phones and familiarity with insurance and electronic medical record (EMR) preferred.
• Ability to demonstrate excellent customer service and prioritize responsibilities.
• Ability to multi-task efficiently and effectively and communicate clearly in person, by phone and in writing.

Responsabilités

• Greet patients and visitors warmly and assist with new patient intake.
• Verify demographic and insurance information for data accuracy.
• Schedule new patient appointments and register patients in the EMR.
• Coordinate with front desk and Financial Aid for self-pay patients.
• Monitor patient wait times and assist with front-desk operations to ensure smooth flow.
