Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Supervisor for the Patient Access Center (PAC) to oversee daily operations, staff training, and interdepartmental collaboration across multiple clinics and campuses. The role focuses on scheduling efficiency and patient experience within a large health system.

The incumbent will manage staffing, performance evaluations, and compliance with policies while coordinating with clinics, departments, and senior leadership to drive service excellence.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of supervisory experience in a health care setting.
• 1–3 years of progressive management experience or office management skills.
• Ability to work in a high-volume, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervises daily operation of the Patient Access Center (PAC) and staff.
• Onboards and trains PAC personnel; conducts evaluations and discipline as needed.
• Coordinates with clinics and departments to improve processes and reduce hand-offs.
• Handles scheduling for patients, families, and providers across clinics and campuses.
• Ensures accurate collection of patient demographics, insurance, and liabilities.
