Job summary

Atrium Health Floyd is seeking a Patient Access & Care Team associate to support the coordination of patient access and scheduling within the NC/GA Operations.

This full-time role involves linking patient experiences between PACT and practice sites, handling inbound calls, performing basic troubleshooting, and ensuring correct patient demographics and insurance data are captured accurately in the EMR system.

Qualifications

• 0-1 year of call center, healthcare, or customer service experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of customer service workflows in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with desktop software.
• Ability to verify insurance information and schedule appointments.

Responsibilities

• Link patient experience between PACT and practice sites per policies.
• Handle inbound calls and make outbound follow-ups.
• Troubleshoot basic online applications and systems.
• Schedule appointments and coordinate cancellations/reschedules.
• Obtain demographics and insurance details and update records.
• Escalate complex issues to RN triage as needed.
• Provide customer service and document interactions in EMR.
• Support marketing data updates and reporting as needed.
