Responsibilities

• Greets patients in a positive, helpful, and courteous manner.
• Answers and directs calls; takes messages as needed.
• Directs visitors and patient to correct locations and assists with Patient Portal questions.
• Verifies/updates patient information and insurance details.
• Collects and posts payments; provides receipts for payments.
• Prints and applies armbands; escorts patients or arranges transport as needed.
• Schedule/reschedule appointments and procedures; provide financial counseling.
• Maintain and reconcile records; process deposits and deposits documentation.
• Review and resolve billing edits; ensure clean claim submissions.
• Manage office supplies and stock; support patient referrals and communication with providers.
• Adhere to NMHS policies and regulations.
