Job summary

Ascension Sacred Heart Outpatient in Pensacola, FL is seeking a PRN Administrative Support professional in Rehab Administration. You will gather patient demographics, insurance data, and clinical information, entering it into our database and coordinating schedules to optimize patient time and clinical resources.

You will assist with pre-certification/authorization processes, provide counseling on pre-service requirements, and work within a supportive team at a leading nonprofit health system

Qualifications

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
• Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Gather demographic, insurance and clinical information from patient and enter into appropriate database.
• Resolve issues about the type, date or location of prescribed procedures by seeking appropriate resources.
• Schedule patient procedures efficiently to utilize patient time and clinical resources; coordinate and communicate schedules.
• Assist with coordination of activities related to insurance pre-certification/authorization.
• Provide counseling to patient or representative regarding pre-service requirements and instructions.
