Job summary

Women’s Care in Gilbert, AZ is seeking a Patient Access Representative to greet patients, register new and returning patients, verify demographics, collect payments, and set up payment plans. The role requires HIPAA compliance, strong customer service, and proficiency with EMR systems.

You will answer high volumes of calls, schedule appointments, confirm insurance eligibility, check patients out, and maintain a tidy lobby while upholding Women’s Care values.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Exceptional customer service experience and a positive patient experience.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Deadline-driven and detail-oriented.
• Proficiency with computer programs including Microsoft Office.
• Experience in medical office settings is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors warmly and professionally.
• Collect demographics and update patient profiles ensuring accuracy.
• Scan insurance card/ID into EMR; verify eligibility and registrations.
• Collect payments and assist with billing questions.
• Set up payment plans per policy; explain policies clearly.
• Answer high volume calls and respond to emails promptly.
• Confirm unconfirmed appointments for next business day.
• Schedule or reschedule appointments; assist online registration.
• Verify insurance eligibility and registration prior to visits.
• Check out patients and ensure lobby tidiness.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and protect patient information.
• Support back office as needed and follow values.
