Job summary

Neighborhood Healthcare is seeking a Patient Services Representative to ensure efficient patient access, scheduling coordination, and an excellent patient experience. This role acts as the first point of contact, handling calls, patient registration, and appointment workflows in a fast-paced clinic.

The position collaborates with providers and care teams, verifies demographics and insurance, maintains records, and processes patient payments when applicable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One year of customer service experience required; healthcare setting preferred.
• Experience with electronic medical records and multi-line phones preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serves as the first point of contact for patients, visitors, and phone lines.
• Greets and assists patients in a courteous and professional manner.
• Schedules, reschedules, and confirms appointments in the scheduling system.
• Conducts appointment reminders and provides visit preparation instructions.
• Verifies patient demographics, insurance information, and registration data.
• Prepares and verifies patient records prior to appointments.
• Receives and records patient payments in the appropriate system.
• Updates patient information in the electronic health record system.
