Job summary

CHOP Buerger Center Ambulatory Care is seeking a Patient Services Representative to greet patients, collect demographics and insurance information, and handle payments with accuracy. Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year experience in health care, registration, billing or related patient services.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and families and schedule appointments; collect demographics and insurance info.
• Check in/out in EPIC and verify demographic/insurance data; run daily eligibility checks.
• Process payments; reconcile daily services and handle referrals/authorizations as needed.
• Answer phones promptly; document messages and triage calls appropriately.
• Coordinate with on-call providers and nursing staff for timely triage and escalation.
• Maintain patient records and schedules per HIPAA; assist with administrative tasks.
