Job summary

Intermountain Health in Superior is seeking a Patient Service Representative to be the first connection with patients, delivering warm, professional service while assisting with intake and care.

The role includes greeting patients, checking in/out, verifying information, documenting calls in the EMR, scheduling appointments, handling registrations and insurance information, and guiding patients through forms and billing.

Qualifications

• Six months of customer service experience.
• Demonstrated basic computer skills involving word processing and data entry.
• Professional manner and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to protect privacy, confidentiality, and PHI of patients, members, and caregivers.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and connect with them by phone, in person or via secure messaging to ensure a positive experience.
• Document all phone calls accurately in the EMR.
• Schedule patient appointments for visits, procedures, tests, referrals or consultations.
• Register patients by updating demographic data and verifying information.
• Obtain insurance cards, IDs, and signatures; assist with insurance coordination of benefits.
• Assist patients with forms and billing needs, educate on financial assistance, and process payments.
• Stay current on duties and participate in team meetings to maintain service quality.
