Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a Patient Service Representative for the Red Lodge Clinic – Family Medicine. The PSR serves as the first connection between Intermountain and patients, greeting and guiding them through intake, verification, and coordination of care and billing needs.

This role requires strong communication, privacy protection, and the ability to document accurately in the EMR, schedule visits, and assist with insurance information and payments while delivering compassionate

Qualifications

• Six months of customer service experience.
• Demonstrated basic computer skills involving word processing and data entry.
• Professional manner and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with patients and fellow caregivers to deliver the highest level of customer/patient satisfaction.
• Ability to protect privacy, confidentiality, and PHI of patients, members, and caregivers.

Responsibilities

• Provides courteous and professional connections with patients over the phone, in person or via secure messaging.
• Documents all phone calls accurately and completely in the EMR.
• Schedules patient appointments for visits, procedures, diagnostic tests, referrals, and/or consultations.
• Registers patients by confirming, entering, and updating demographic data on the registration system.
• Obtains copies of insurance cards, forms of ID, and signatures on required forms; may verify COB and prior authorizations.
• Assists patients in completing necessary forms for regulatory and billing needs; educates on financial assistance and processes payments.
• Stays current on role responsibilities by reviewing emails, dashboards, and attending meetings.
