Job summary

InGenesis is seeking a Patient Access Representative to join our team and support client hospitals with patient intake, eligibility verification, and revenue cycle tasks.

You will obtain patient data, schedule appointments, explain forms, and ensure medical necessity compliance, while posting payments and generating receipts. The role requires attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in a hospital or medical business office setting.
• Ability to multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and enter patient, insurance, and financial information.
• Schedule patient appointments and enter required information in the computer system.
• Explain required forms to the patient or guarantor and obtain signatures.
• Ensure medical necessity compliance.
• Collect patient liability, arrange payments, discuss options, and screen for eligibility.
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits and complete notifications/authorizations in timeframes.
• Post payments and generate receipts.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
