Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 6 months experience in a customer service/front desk role or graduation from a front office/medical office program.
• Bachelor's degree may substitute for experience.

• Ability to multi-task.
• Critical thinking.
• Demonstrated computer literacy.
• Ability to learn and demonstrate proficiency in Epic during the introductory period.

Responsibilities

• Register patients in EMR/Epic and verify information.
• Advise patients on billing procedures and charges.
• Welcome patients and update records.
• Manage patient flow and appointment scheduling.
• Review accounts, arrange payment plans, and meet collection goals.
• Assist patients with government resources and MyChart access.
• Coordinate referrals per payor requirements.
• Perform clerical duties and data entry.
• Research claim edits and resolve discrepancies.
• Handle charges, batches, and point-of-service data entry.
• Act as clinic backup and provide training as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
