Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a Patient Access professional to complete scheduling, preregistration, financial clearance, authorization and referral validation, and pre-serviceability estimations and collections, creating the first impression of AHN’s services to patients and families.

The role requires articulating information clearly to patients and guarantors about financial responsibilities, verifying insurance, calculating estimates, and posting transactions in the ADT system, while

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• At least one year of revenue cycle experience, preferably in financial clearance.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Experience operating PCs and using software applications.

Responsibilities

• Performs scheduling, preregistration, financial clearance and authorization/referral verification.
• Verifies insurance information and identifies authorization/referral needs.
• Provides documentation and follow-up with physicians, case management, and payors.
• Calculates patient financial responsibilities and posts transactions in the ADT system.
• Maintains positive patient experience and adheres to policies, training, and productivity standards.
