Advocate Health is seeking a part-time patient registration/pre-registration clerk to efficiently register patients for admission, partial hospitalization, and outpatient services. You will verify insurance and obtain required authorizations to ensure smooth care delivery.

Collaborating with scheduling, you will reschedule procedures as needed and request upfront deposits. A high school diploma is required, with a bachelor’s degree preferred, and strong communication skills are essential.

Formación

• Excellent communication and customer service skills required.
• Knowledge of patient registration, insurance, and hospital billing preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Registers or pre-registers all scheduled patients for admission, partial hospitalization, and outpatient services.
• Verifies insurance coverage and obtains authorization for services requiring authorization, pre-certification, or referral.
• Coordinates with scheduling to reschedule procedures until authorization or patient payment can be arranged; requests upfront deposits from responsible party.
