Job summary

Community Health Network seeks an Associate Patient Access Representative (APAR) to be the first contact for visitors, handling patient registration, scheduling, and financial clearance. The role includes check-ins, insurance verification, and compliance management to ensure smooth workflows.

The APAR will verify patient information, collect payments, and prepare patients administratively for visits, contributing to accurate EHR and front-office operations within our Indiana network.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years experience in healthcare office setting and/or strong customer service background preferred.
• Registration/Admissions: proficient in inpatient, outpatient, and emergency admits.
• Accurately identifies and enters patient demographics, insurance, and financial information.

Responsibilities

• Handle check-ins and patient registrations.
• Schedule appointments and manage payment collection.
• Verify insurance and determine financial clearance.
• Ensure compliance with guidelines and prepare patients administratively and financially for visits.
