Job summary

Community Health Network in Indianapolis is seeking an Associate Patient Access Representative to serve as the first contact for visitors, handling patient registration and financial clearance with accuracy and compassion.

You will register patients for inpatient, outpatient, and emergency services, verify insurance coverage, enter demographics and financial information, and ensure CMS standards are followed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year healthcare office experience and/or strong customer service background preferred.
• Proficient in inpatient, outpatient, and emergency registrations.
• Completes Admissions, Discharges, and Transfers in a timely manner.
• Ability to monitor and manage patient movement within hospital/ambulatory settings.
• Uses EPIC work queue to pre-register scheduled patients.
• Verifies medical necessity per CMS standards and communicates coverage/eligibility to the patient.
• Accurately records patient demographics, insurance and financial information.
• Gathers and verifies confidential health and financial information from patients.
• Ensures completeness of the electronic health record (EHR) and makes necessary changes.

Responsibilities
