Geisinger is seeking a Front Desk Specialist to deliver first-line patient support at the Geisinger Multi-Specialty Clinic Forty-Fort. You will greet and register patients, support check-out, and schedule future appointments.

This role requires strong clerical and customer service skills, adherence to privacy rules, and accurate handling of demographics and insurance information. It is a day-shift, on-site position with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifikationen

• Requires high school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 1 year related work experience preferred.
• Strong clerical and communication skills.
• Knowledge of patient privacy and confidentiality.

Aufgaben

• Check-in patients for appointments and verify demographics.
• Monitor patient wait times and communicate changes.
• Provide kiosk support to assist check-in where available.
• Assign primary/secondary/tertiary insurance per encounter.
• Read and interpret insurance responses.
• Obtain necessary signatures and privacy disclosures.
• Communicate financial obligations and collect fees at point of service.
• Complete regulatory forms with patients and explain purpose.
• Schedule follow-up appointments and referrals as needed.
• Process multi-channel messages regarding appointments and requests.
• Notify patient/guarantor of anticipated financial responsibility.
• Post cash following department guidelines.
• Maintain productivity and quality standards.
• Perform medical record maintenance and releases.
