Job summary

The role requires at least 1 year in a medical office or related customer service, with strong time management and customer service skills. MS Office experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma preferred or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year medical office or related customer service experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel and Outlook) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Pre-registers/registers patients with accurate demographics and financial data.
• Collects patient balances, co-payments, co-insurance or other payments.
• Verifies coverage and ensures insurance requirements are met; obtain prior auth/referrals as needed.
• Responds to customer inquiries.
• Assist with departmental coverage as needed.
• Manages daily appointment schedules, including reminder calls and referrals.
• May transport patients using escort or wheeled transport equipment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
