Texas Health Resources is seeking an Admission Specialist at our Fort Worth location to deliver compassionate, customer-focused service to patients and families. The role involves collecting accurate demographic and financial information to support smooth medical records and billing processes.

You will verify benefits, assist with pre-certifications, and explain consent documents while ensuring compliance and timely documentation.

Qualificações

• Requires good written, oral, and telephone communication skills.
• Requires knowledge of general office equipment, PC’s and associated software packages.
• Ability to type 35 WPM corrected for errors preferred.
• General knowledge of medical terminology preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Accurately gathers complete financial and demographic information to ensure medical records/billing process flows efficiently.
• Obtains and/or updates verification of benefits and/or pre-certification for applicable tests and/or procedures.
• Prepares, presents, and thoroughly explains applicable legal, ethical, and compliance documents; ensures proper consents are signed by the appropriate parties.
• Maintains documentation of consents and related records; ensures accuracy and timeliness.
• Maximizes reimbursement by identifying insurance carrier, benefits, etc.; notifies insurers of admissions.
• Assists patients in understanding financial obligations; collects co-pays, deposits, and balances to reduce Accounts Receivable.
