Texas Health Resources is seeking an Admissions Specialist for Texas Health Southwest Fort Worth location. The role focuses on patient access, financial/ demographic data gathering, benefits verification, and ensuring clean documentation for billing and admissions.

The position emphasizes excellent patient service, intra-team collaboration, and adherence to healthcare regulations. Strong communication and computer skills are essential; typing speed of 35 WPM preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year of customer service experience required.
• CHAA - Certified Healthcare Access Associate (preferred on hire).
• Good written, oral, and telephone communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Accurately gathers complete financial and demographic information to ensure medical records/billing processes flow efficiently.
• Obtains and/or updates verification of benefits and/or pre-certification for applicable tests and/or procedures.
• Prepares, presents, and explains applicable legal, ethical, and compliance documents; ensures proper consents are signed.
• Maintains documentation of consents and related records.
• Maximizes reimbursement by identifying insurance carrier and benefits; notifies insurers of admission to prevent denials.
• Assists patients in understanding financial obligations; collects co-pays, self-pay deposits, and patient balances to reduce AR.
