Job summary

Howard Head Sports Medicine is seeking an Intake Specialist in Edwards, CO. This full-time, year-round role supports pre-registration, admit-registration, and intake coordination for the Precourt Healing Center.

You will engage with patients, visitors, and staff, performing registration, de-escalation as needed, and ensuring HIPAA compliance. Responsibilities include documentation management, multi-team coordination, and assistance with admissions, insurance verification, and scheduling.

Qualifications

• One year of experience in behavioral health, healthcare, or related roles.
• Experience in Behavioral Health is preferred.
• Knowledge of community resources is a plus.
• Spanish language knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Obtain, verify, and register patient information to streamline admissions.
• De-escalate crises and ensure safety until support arrives.
• Perform safety checks and assist with belongings searches.
• Communicate clearly with patients, visitors, and staff across channels.
• Maintain and organize patient records and respond to documentation requests.
• Support department data collection and compliance reporting.
• Assist in diverse settings around Edwards Community Health Campus.
• Attend staff meetings and help train new personnel.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and protect patient privacy.
