Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Science or Social Services.
• RN license may satisfy minimum education.
• Master’s degree in a therapeutic field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate admissions and assessment processes for incoming patients.
• Respond to inquiries about the facility within policy timeframes.
• Schedule and complete pre-admission assessments and communicate recommendations to patients or families.
• Collaborate with medical and psychiatric staff to ensure appropriate admissions.
• Coordinate admission and transfer between levels of care within the facility.
• Communicate projected admissions to internal representatives promptly.
• Perform insurance benefit verifications and share findings with patients and staff.
• Gather admission docs and secure pre-authorization for treatment.
• Assist therapists with concurrent reviews with insurers for continued treatment.
• Coordinate peer-to-peer reviews and share results with the treatment team.
• Provide ongoing patient status assessments in admissions.
• Communicate treatment recommendations to other treatment teams.
• Demonstrate empathy, professionalism, and strong customer service; address complaints and ensure patient safety.
• Maintain safety checks with 15-minute supervision intervals as required.
