Job summary

Acadia Healthcare is seeking a clinical admissions professional to facilitate admissions, conduct intake assessments, and oversee utilization review to assure the appropriate level of care for patients and efficient use of benefits.

You will collaborate with medical and psychiatric staff, coordinate transfers, prepare and maintain medical records for payor authorization, and communicate dispositions to patients and families with empathy and urgency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social services required.
• Master's degree in social services or RN preferred.
• One or more years' experience in mental/behavioral health preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond to inquiries about the facility within policy timeframes.
• Develop therapeutic relationships with patients and families.
• Ensure benefits are active at admission and relay eligibility to the business office.
• Collaborate with medical staff to determine referrals and appropriate care levels.
• Coordinate admission and transfer between levels of care.
• Prepare medical records for authorization and complete admission forms.
• Communicate dispositions to patients or families with empathy.
• Maintain patient safety and provide timely, quality service.

Education
