Job summary

ScionHealth is seeking an Patient Access & Intake Coordinator to support referral initiation, admission workflows, and CAAT coordination. You will gather documentation, verify insurance, and liaise with Business Development and facility leadership to ensure a smooth admission process.

The role contributes to quality improvement and operational excellence within an interdisciplinary team, with focus on accurate data entry and timely communication.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Healthcare-related concentration or equivalent experience preferred.
• Experience in a healthcare setting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and manage referral intake for admission.
• Enter demographic information into referral platforms and Meditech.
• Coordinate bed assignments and admission paperwork with facility staff.
• Verify insurance and authorization status and update patient accounts.
• Maintain the pending referral log and support CAAT processes.
