Job summary

Educational Service Center of Central Ohio is seeking a Career Pathways Specialist in Columbus, OH to lead and expand K-14 career pathways. You will collaborate with district leadership, teachers, and industry partners to strengthen work-based learning opportunities and align curricula with post-secondary pathways.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in an education-related field, strong collaboration, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in an education-related field.
• Knowledge and experience with various work-based learning programs and the skills required to supervise a quality program.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with diverse constituencies including teachers, principals, district admins, support specialists, community, agency staff, and business/industry partners.
• Knowledge and skills to establish high-quality career pathway systems, including advising, partnerships, curriculum alignment, and post-secondary pathways.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple assignments and meet deadlines with minimal direction.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Documentation of a clear criminal record and compliance with drug-free workplace rules.

Responsibilities

• Act as a point of contact for district leadership and workforce development stakeholders to engage employers and industry representatives.
• Engage with regional partners in workforce development initiatives.
• Identify, document, and share best practices for pathway development.
• Assist in developing performance outcomes and work plans.
• Support K-12 students, teachers, counselors, and the public about pathway opportunities.
• Encourage CCP and industry credentials expansion.
• Coordinate with industry and workforce agencies to promote education pathways.
